Set in the heart of Bampton, a vibrant and historic market village, our beautifully renovated Grade II listed building offers a charming escape. Whether you're a solo traveller, celebrating a special occasion, or visiting with family, our thoughtfully designed rooms cater to a range of needs and stays.
We offer 9 uniquely designed rooms, each combining character and comfort with carefully restored vintage furniture, cosy en-suites, and supremely comfortable Hypnos mattresses. Whether you're staying in our larger doubles or one of the cosier corners, you’ll find each room has its own personality and soul. Thanks to curated pieces from local favourites Stone Table Vintage and Arthur’s Attic.
Breakfast is available everyday (except Christmas Day), 7:30am-11am and can be added to your room booking for only £9.99 per guest per morning. Includes our continental buffet, cereals, fruit, juices, a cooked-to-order dish and a hot drink. Add this on during booking in the ‘extras’ page.
All rooms are situated above the pub and accessed via stairs. Thoughtful touches throughout including luxury Noble Isle “The Greenhouse” toiletries create a stay that’s both relaxing and inviting. As we're nestled in the heart of the village, you may also enjoy the gentle background hum of local life
There is free, unrestricted street parking available directly outside and near the pub. No permits or time limits, park up and relax. We absolutely love dogs and are pleased to welcome them in our front restaurant and bar areas. However, following our recent rooms refurbishment, we’ve made the decision not to allow animals in our upstairs bedroom areas overnight. Thanks for your understanding.

Small Double
Ideal for a shorter stay or solo traveller, the Small Double is cosy, and cleverly designed to make the most of the space. It features a king-size bed, space to hang clothes, and all the essentials you need for a comfortable stay. This room comes with en-suite walk-in shower.
Located on the first floor at the back of the building, overlooking the garden

Standard Doubles
Our Standard Double Rooms are individually designed, each with its own character and style while offering the same comfortable amenities throughout. All rooms feature a king-size bed, compact en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, Wi-Fi and complimentary toiletries.
Located on the first floor above the pub, three of our rooms face the front of the property and are slightly larger, making them suitable for an additional child's bed or cot on request. Our fourth room overlooks the garden at the rear and offers a more tranquil setting, with views over the garden.
Whether you prefer a bright and airy room or something a little cosier, each has been thoughtfully designed to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay while retaining the character of our village pub.
The rooms sleep a maximum of two adults in the king-size bed. A child's bed (ages 2–14 years) or cot (0–2 years) can be added to selected rooms by prior arrangement. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Superior Double
Spacious and comfortable, the Superior Double is located on the second floor at the front of the building, offering a little more room to stretch out. It features an extra-large king-size bed, a 42” TV, and all the comforts you need for a relaxing stay.

Superior Twin
Our Superior Twin is a spacious, front-facing room on the second floor, ideal for friends or travel companions who prefer separate beds. It features two super comfy single beds, a 42” TV, and all the essentials for a restful stay.

Deluxe Double with Bath
The most spacious double room, the Deluxe Double is full of natural light and perfect for a special stay. Located on the second floor, it features a striking super-king bed, separate dressing area, a 42” TV, and beautifully restored furniture.
The large en-suite includes both a freestanding bathtub and a walk-in shower, making it an ideal space to unwind. With windows facing both the front and back of the building, this room feels like your own Cotswolds retreat.

Two-Bedroom Suite
The luxurious Two-Bedroom Suite is perfect for families or those looking to celebrate a special occasion in comfort and style. Each bedroom is off the central lounge and has a lockable door and its own private en-suite. The master has a super-king bed, a separate dressing area, and a large bathroom with both a freestanding bathtub and a walk-in shower.
The second bedroom features the same warm tones and vintage touches, and can be configured as a twin upon request. A third room offers a generous lounge area with comfortable seating, and a sofa bed is available on request.

Sleeps up to 6 guests plus a baby, a maximum of 2 guests in the superking-size bed, 2 guests in the twin or superking-size and 2 guests in extra beds- A sofa bed and a small childs bed (age 2-14yrs) can be added on request for £20 each, which includes towels, linen, and breakfast. Very Small Single
A compact but well-designed space, our Very Small Single is ideal for solo travellers looking for a simple one-night stopover. It features a cosy single bed, a large window, and a private en-suite.
Located on the second floor at the side of the building, this is a great-value option for short stays.
Sleeps 1 adult. Room is not much larger than a single bed.

Please Note: The Market Tavern, Bampton is a beautifully restored Grade II Listed building, with all rooms located above our pub.
Due to the building’s age and historic value, there were limitations on the renovations we could make. As a result, you may hear some noise, and please note, we don’t have air conditioning or lifts. All rooms are accessible by stairs, but our friendly team are here to help if needed.
